A beautiful Cornish driftwood plank with nail, holes, tiny bits of stones and bags of character. This has been sitting in the workshop drying since the storms last winter. After sanding off all the rough parts, I thought long and hard about how to decorate it and decided the simplest way to go was words that seem to fit the wood… Work Like A Captain… Drink Like A Pirate. Hand decorated using a pyrography pen, it measures approximately 30cm long at its longest point and 8cm wide at the widest. A small amount of wax has been used to protect the wood and bring out the grain patterning. This can either have a brass D-ring attached to back or alternatively small holes can be added so it can be roped up to hang on the wall.
